Thomas Yaglowski
Born and raised in Tonawanda, New York (a suburb of Buffalo), Tom grew up playing tennis, street hockey, baseball and golf. Tom’s sports injuries include three broken ankles and a broken collar bone. The later injury was garnered during a brief dilation stint as Evil Knievel.
Tom began his professional life early mowing lawns and working at a movie theater. During college, Tom landed a job in the Kenmore Mercy Emergency Room as an orderly, later becoming a Paramedic, meeting Laura along the way. Laura, a consummate preppy at the time, was a bit concerned by Tom’s punk persona with three colored hair, combat boots and army trench coat. None-the-less the couple wed in 1985 and rest is history.
Speaking of history... aside from being a professional firefighter and paramedic with the City of Ithaca Fire Department since 1988, Tom is a licensed Battlefield Guide at Gettysburg National Military Park. That’s right it's a long commute... 6 hours from Auburn.
Tom passions include include history, guiding, astronomy, golf and travel. Tom is the son of the Julia Yaglowski and the late Thomas Yaglowski, Sr. He has one sister, Marlene Wass of West Virginia.
